Future Perfect

O Future Perfect or Future Perfect Simple (futuro perfeito ou futuro perfeito simples) é um tempo verbal usado para indicar ações futuras que estarão concluídas em um determinado tempo no futuro.

Muitas expressões são utilizadas com esse tempo verbal, por exemplo: before (antes); by (em, no, na); by the time (quando); until (até), etc.

Formação do Future Perfect

O future perfect é formado pelo verbo auxiliar to have (will have) conjugado no simple future (futuro simples) + o particípio do verbo principal.

Atenção! (Pay Attention!)

O particípio passado dos verbos regulares é formado pelo acréscimo de –d, -ed ou –ied. Já os verbos irregulares não seguem esse padrão, sendo necessário consultar e memorizá-los.

Forma Afirmativa (Affirmative Form)

Para construir frases afirmativas no future perfect utilizamos a sequência:

Sujeito + verbo auxiliar to have no simple future (will have) + particípio passado do verbo principal + complemento

Exemplo: I will have read the book by the end of the week. (Eu terei lido o livro até o final de semana.)

Forma Negativa (Negative Form)

A construção da forma negativa é indicada pelo acréscimo do “not” após o verbo auxiliar to have:

Sujeito + verbo auxiliar will + not + have + particípio passado do verbo principal + complemento

Exemplo: I will not have read the book by the end of the week. (Eu não terei lido o livro até o final de semana.)

Obs: A forma contraída do will not é won’t.

Forma Interrogativa (Interrogative Form)

Na construção de perguntas no future perfect o verbo auxiliar will surge antes do sujeito e no início da frase:

Verbo auxiliar will + sujeito + have + particípio passado do verbo principal + complemento

Exemplo: Will I have read the book by the end of the week. (Eu terei lido o livro até o final de semana?)

Future Perfect x Future Perfect Continuous

O Future Perfect Tense é classificado de duas maneiras. Veja abaixo as diferenças entre eles:

Future Perfect Simple: expressa ações que estarão terminadas em um determinado tempo futuro.

Ele é formado pelo verbo auxiliar to have (will have) conjugado no simple future (futuro simples) + o particípio do verbo principal.

Exemplo: They will have had lunch by the time we get there. (Eles já terão almoçado quando a gente chegar lá.)

Future Perfect Continuous: expressa a continuação de ações que serão terminadas em determinado tempo no futuro.

Ele é formado pelo verbo to have (will have) + verbo to be (been) conjugado no past perfect (passado perfeito) + gerúndio (-ing) do verbo principal.

Exemplo: By 2016 I will have been living in Portugal for a year. (Em 2016 fará um ano que eu estarei vivendo em Portugal).
